Higashiyama Kofun is a square mounded tomb constructed on Ojin-tenno-ryo Kofun’s [33-1] west side, adjoining its outer bank. Given its position, this tomb is considered to be related to Ojin-tenno-ryo Kofun as a satellite tomb.
The mound length is 54 m north-south and 57 m east-west, and its height is 7m.
Cylindrical haniwa, which were arranged with no gaps, have been unearthed from the first-tier terrace.
The construction period dates to the first half of the 5th century.
